My Friend's Son Aspen

This is my friend Stacy's son Aspen (yes, he is named for the ski area). He was born in November 2000. The picture of him in the T-shirt is at age 6 and the picture in the tie is at age 7. This kid rips on skis. He's been skiing since the age of 2 and his dad is from Austria. The last time I saw him, he was 3 1/2. Aspen loves to ski and he also loves to BMX race. In the fall of 2008 they are moving from Michigan to Colorado. I can't wait to have another friend from Michigan here in Colorado. It will also be so cool to see Aspen grow and improve as a skier and biker. He is such a cool and smart kid

My Friend's son Patton

I just had to share these pictures. This is my sister and I with my friend's son Patton. He is such a smart kid. Zac and I met him for the first time a week before Christmas. The last time we saw him, his mom was pregnant with him. It was so much fun to meet him and hang out with him. He's a really smart 2 year old. Patton was a little less cooperative with both Abbi and I but when I asked him to sit with me on the stairs and take a picture, he was very happy to oblige. Isn't he a cutie? I can't wait to go back to Michigan this summer and see Patton again. It will be fun to see how he grows. When we said "bye" to him, he gave me a kiss. What a sweetheart. :-)

Heath Ledger Died Today

I can't believe that Heath Ledger died today. From the sound of it, it's suicide. What!? We never heard much about him in the news and certainly never heard about much trouble in his life. I wonder what made him decide to take his life? He wasn't one of those actors that was in the press all of the time for misconduct and problems. He was always quiet and well spoken and just seemed like an all around good guy. I first saw him in, "10 Things I Hate About You." I loved him in that movie. I saw many of the movies that he was in. He was becoming a very talented and respected actor. I'm very sad to hear that he has left this world. He will be much missed and I'm especially sad that we won't be able to continue to see him in future film productions. My prayers go out to his friends and family. He left behind a 2 year old daughter, Matilda, who he had with Michelle Williams. I'm so sorry that we have lost such a great actor and individual.

A New Car for the New Year

Well, after lots of car trouble at the end of 2007, I decided to lease a car. I leased it on January 1, 2008. It's a 2008 Subaru Outback. It's a stick shift. I love it!

Welcome to my Site

Well, I have a private Blog site on myfamily.com but decided to put together a public one as well. I won't update this very regularly to start with since I am not married and don't have any kids (only dogs) but I'll update it once in a while. My life is pretty uneventful right now.
