Sunday Snapshot {A Big Snow Storm}

Well, this weekend we had a big snow storm. Lots of wet, heavy snow. We got so much snow that our power went out. As a result, we headed over to my parents house for the night but not before taking some pictures in all of the new snow. The next day, it was sunny with some nice powdery snow so we decided to do some cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at my parents house before heading back to our house. We assume that the power's back on by now.

Sunday Snapshot {The Remodel}

Apparently I forgot to post for the Sunday Snapshot yesterday so here's my post a little late. We spent the day working on the baby's room and getting the house ready for the arrival of our little girl (in just over 1 1/2 weeks). Yesterday was a painting day. These pictures show some of our progress but not the completed painting project (which should be done today).



I really like the little "nook" here for our cell phones.



This picture shows the rest of the wall but the only part painted here so far is the ledge on the wall.



Finally, we aren't painting the outside of the house but I wanted to share a picture of the room from the outside (our house is a double geodesic dome).
